SIGN / GRAPHICS INSTALLER
THE ROLE
HARROGATE | PART-TIME / FLEXIBLE / FULL-TIME | 1–5 DAYS PER WEEK
We’re looking for a Sign / Graphics Installer to join the Harrogate Signs team in Harrogate.
The role covers a varied mix of sign installation and graphics application, from general signage, shop fascias and external installations to large-format wall graphics, window vinyl, frosting and ContraVision.
Whether your experience is in signage, graphics and vinyl application, or a combination of both, we’d like to hear from you. You don’t need to be experienced in every area – for us, finding the right person with practical ability, a good attitude and a willingness to learn is more important than ticking every box.
With projects varying in scale, location and sector, you’ll work alongside our creative and production team on a genuinely varied mix of installations.
We’re flexible in how the role could work too – from one day a week through to full-time, and we’re open to both salaried employment and freelance arrangements.
WHAT YOU COULD BE DOING
The work will vary depending on your experience and skill set, and could include:
- Internal and external signage, including tray signs, built-up lettering, monoliths and panel and post systems
- Shop fascia and shopfront signage installation
- Large-format vinyl application, including wall and window graphics
- Frosted vinyl, manifestations and ContraVision
- Groundworks and post installation where required
- Working safely at height using appropriate access equipment
You won’t necessarily be expected to cover every area – we’re interested in what you can bring to the team and where your skills could develop.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Some previous experience in sign installation, graphics or vinyl application is preferred, but we’re flexible on the level and type of experience.
You’ll need to be practical, reliable and accurate, with good attention to detail and the ability to problem solve on site. Being comfortable working independently, as well as part of a team, is important.
Experience working with different fixing methods, surfaces, substrates and access equipment would be beneficial, while surveying experience would be an added advantage rather than a requirement.
Ultimately, this role isn’t just about experience or a particular skill set – we’re looking for the right person to join the team.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE
The following would be an advantage, but aren’t essential:
- CSCS
- IPAF
- PASMA
- Site surveying experience
- Other relevant signage, construction or working-at-height qualifications

LOCATION
Based at Harrogate Signs in Harrogate, with travel to client sites across the UK.
HOURS
Flexible – from one day a week through to full-time. We’re happy to discuss an arrangement that works for the right person.
EMPLOYMENT
We’re open to both salaried employment and freelance arrangements.
SALARY / RATE
Competitive and flexible depending on experience, skills and the agreed working arrangement.
VAN & EQUIPTMENT
A company van, tools and all necessary installation equipment will be provided.
DRIVING LICENSE
A full UK driving licence is essential due to regular travel to client sites.
START DATE
As soon as possible, although we’re flexible for the right person.
